People need the Lord!

I was sitting at work today and couldn't help but remember this song as it came to my head. You see, at my workplace I am known for being a Christian. I try my best to live up to the standards a Christian should but I can't help but notice that sometimes, as a way of life, we fall short. It is in those times that we need the Lord. This song starts off by saying...

Everyday they pass me by,
I can see it in their eyes.
Empty people filled with care,
Headed who knows where?

This is so true, is it not?

On they go through private pain,
Living fear to fear.
Laughter hides their silent cries,
Only Jesus hears.

This also is true. I feel, the way of life is that if you are going through a rough time, bottle it up and hide your emotions, but instead as Christians we should release that pressure in the bottle, and give it all to God. Sometimes those 'silent cries' could be loud ones, but often in a time of need, they are quiet or silent.

This next bit, I love so much!

People need the Lord, people need the Lord.
At the end of broken dreams, He's the open door.
People need the Lord, people need the Lord.
When will we realize, people need the Lord?

It is so true. I used to sing this song in the Songster Brigade I was a part of in my old church. I felt moved every time I sang it, and for me it was a song that truely showed, as Christians, what we should do as... People need the lord.

For me, as I shared in my testimony a few days ago, I needed the Lord during my pain and suffering and dis-acceptance. Perhaps there has been a time, or currently is a time where you need the Lord? I pray you will seek him. As the bible says in Matthew 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you". Someone once said in their sermon, God always opens doors for us, but it is up to us to take the first step in faith and to dodge all the obstacles Satan will throw our way.

God bless,
Andrew

Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist – he denies the Father and the Son.
